Oh lord, who abides in Tarakshupura, whose story is sacred, please protect me.
Please give me the chance to serve you, oh the abode of great excellence!
You protect the host of celestials, you are the friend of the afflicted.  You give prosperity to those who bow before you.  You are Kala of Yama.  You are the god of gods.  Your feet are worshiped by Brahama and others.  Always protect me.
Your forehead shines with the third eye.  You are the destroyer of Cupid.  You are an expert in fulfilling the desire of devotees.  You are blue-necked.  You are the refuge of the entire universe.  Please protect me.
You delight the hearts of Rishis bowing before you.  You have a shining soft smile, you are to be known through Vendanta and Agama.  Your lotus feet are worshiped by gods.
You wear on your head the Ganga, make my heart spotless and take your abode there.  Your teeth shine like jasmine buds.  Your hair spreads like the sky.
Remove the mass of sins. You are unique in removing the sorrow of the cycle of life and death.  Your side-glance overflows with mercy.  You are the lord of Gauri and your forehead is lovely like the crescent moon.
You are the cyclone that blows away the cloud of sins.  Your vehicle is the sacred bull.  You are the celestial tree to the people around.  You are considerate to those who worship the feet of Padmanabha.

Oh, Lord of Lakshmi!  The embodiment of beauty!  please protect me.  Why is this indifference of yours?
Destroyer of the pride of the sinful, your fame is sung by the celestial, oh pure one!
You sport in the lotus-like heart of the host of sages.  In anger, you destroy the demons.  Ocean of kindness!  you are to sins what a mighty wind is to the clouds.  Your lips are red like the Bimba fruit;  you are bedecked in gold.  You revel in totally destroying the sorrows of your devotees.  You are always skillful in bestowing boons.  Bhuvaneswara!  the lord of the universe!  Grant me good fortune.
Your visage is like the autumnal moon.  Your lustrous form is like the clouds.  scriptures praise you.  Your form is so lovely that it eclipses that of Cupid.  Your crescent-shaped forehead is adorned by the Kasturi mark.  Narada and Sanaka worship your feet.  You have teeth like jasmine buds.  You are the savior of all the sages and the celestials.
You have the sun and the moon for your eyes.  Brahma, Siva, and Narada worship you.  Oh, Master of Syanandurapura!  you wear the golden yellow hued dress on your most sweet form.  Oh, Padmanabha!  you dispel the fears of the holy ones.  You have a soft smile and an ocean of virtues.  Oh, beautiful one!  please deliver me from all my sins.

Oh dweller of Tarakshupuralaya (Vaikom), of immaculate and wondrous fame, please protect me.
Oh most compassionate destroyer of Tripuras, oh Siva!  Grant the opportunity to serve your feet.
With your third eye, you reduced to ashes the moth-like cupid.  Your hands sport a battle-axe and a deer.  You are like the rain-bearing cloud to the great forest fire.  You are an unrivaled one, whose feet are beautiful like a lotus.  Like a bee, you hover around the lotus-like face of Parvati the daughter of the mountains.  You are adorned with the skin of an elephant.  Praised by all universe, you are to the foes what peacock is to the serpents.  Lord of the worlds, may you be victorious.
Your neck is adorned with the greatest of serpents.   Great sages like Narada, Suka, and Sanaka attend you.  You are comprehensible only to the fortunate.  Abode of divine qualities.  Oh, bestower of prosperity! incessantly worshiped by Brahma, your eyes are beautiful like lotus, oh immortal one! your lips are red as the Bimba fruit.  Dweller of Kailasagiri, oh great god!
The dispenser of desired boons. One who has powerful arms, you are capable of wielding mountain Meru like a bow.  You are the redeemer who helps to cross the fearful ocean of existence.  Destroyer of the demons who cause hardship to the celestials, your head is adorned with a crescent moon.  Like the sun removes the darkness you remove the miseries of those who worship you.  Your abode is pleasant.  You have the sacred bull as your mount.  Friend of Kubera! Lord Sankara!  always protect me.

Your enchanting beautiful form excels that of Cupid.  You are adorned with a beautiful vermilion mark on your forehead.  Oh! formidable one to the enemies!  You bestow desired boons on your devotees.  You skillfully destroyed demons like Mura and others with the discuss in your hand.
Lord Sarasaksha!  Adorning Innumerable jewels, your recline on the ocean.  You protected Gajendra.  Your form resembles the autumnal full moon.  Lord, you are the destroyer of all the blemishes.  You are devoid of anger, and you nourish the celestials.   Jagadiswara!  On your forehead shines the musk paste.  You sport a beautiful smile and your teeth are like jasmine buds.
Oh, Devadeva!  You destroyed a host of demons.  You cherish in the lotus hearts of the ascetics.  The saviour of the dejected.  You are the repository of all great virtues.  You wipe out the miseries of your devotees with your beautiful smile.  Oh Supreme Lord!  You vanquished demons like Jambha and Dambha.  You are adored by Sambhu Siva.  Please bestow on me bountiful good fortune.
Oh! lord Vasudeva!  You are adorned with Vanamala!  The ocean of mercy, your feet is revered by Pandavas   You are adorned with splendid robes.  You held aloft the mountain.  Your cheeks are beautiful.
