Meaning

Alas!  Time is running out idly.
Oh Mind!  contemplate on the lotus feet of Sri Hari, which is the boat for crossing the sinful ocean.
Like the moth destroying itself in the fire, do not destroy yourself, from the burning passion kindled by young damsels.
Despite being on the banks of river Ganga, in a pleasant hermitage, among the enlightened ones;
Contemplate on the beautiful dark cloud-like form of Sri Padmanabha, who is capable of giving bliss to those who seek refuge.

Meaning

Alas! Dear girl!  what shall I do today?
Always Cupid is showering arrows on me without respite.
My respectable lord is always seen closely with other beautiful women; Oh moon-faced! Alas! I think impediments to my joy are due to my previous sins.
Oh, a gem among women! My friend! I had always been loving Him since my childhood and he, the moon-faced uttered all nice words which vanished as if written on water.
Please at once to Sri Padmanabha all my miseries without leaving anything. In this world, who else will tell my troubles except you?  Oh, the one with beautiful eyes!  Oh, the affectionate one! My beloved friend!

Meaning

Alas! Has my beloved forgotten me?
I am the one who is engrossed in his thoughts every day!  Has he forgotten me?
Oh, the moon-faced! The cool rays of the moon and the desires aroused by the arrows of Cupid are piling up my passion!  I am unable to withstand it anymore.
I listen to the hovering of the bees and the song of the cuckoo-bird which causes misery in my heart.  Please tell Him the story of my distress.
Is it easy to describe his lotus-like face, His compassionate, honey-soaked words, and his good virtues?
When will my beloved Ambujanabha come and indulge with me in amorous sport in the bed of flowers?

Meaning

My dear friend!  What can I do?  My mental agony is ever increasing!
O Kilimozhi!  What is the reason for the anger of my beloved?:
Oh Mannini (respectful lady!) Once, during the night when we indulged in amorous sports, AHAHAH!!  He addressed me as "Bhavan" - respected sir!  then, I laughed coyly.  Now, has he forgotten me?
Once he told me that his love for me would never diminish.  Was that only in jest?  Oh, Vimalaguna nilaye (the repository of flawless virtues!).  Only fate can be a witness to all my sorrows.
Dear friend!  without delaying even for a moment, please tell Sri Padmanabha who reclines on the serpent, my longing for his company.  Oh, moon-like faced!  but for my beloved, there is no refuge for me.

Meaning

Alas! I have no other refuge and I feel deceived.
Oh, Divine Lord Pankajanabha of nonpareil beauty!
Oh lord! please listen! " I will marry you soon" you promised thus. Seized with love, I became radiant with happiness and started decorating myself with flowers and Kasturi-musk.
Oh, venerable lord! is this proper?
Is it not a clever deceitful act?
Deceiving a woman who is consumed by desire and deserting her (is it proper)
Oh, Nirajambuka-having a face like a lotus!  even if I decide to insult you by not looking at your lovely lotus face, you just display your sarcastic smile!
You are an expert in protecting the virtuous; you have endless compassion.  Please take notice of this love-lorn lady.  Oh my Lord! Please play the amorous sports like caressing my bosoms, and giving the nectar of your lips, and wipe off my unhappiness.  Your feet are worshiped by great sages.
Oh Honorable Lord! is it proper on your part to ignore this most pathetic and helpless refugee, the one who adores Nalinanbha?
