You subdued the pride of the serpent Kaliya, who flaunted his great hood before you.  Your form resembles the dark clouds.  YOu the progenitor of Cupid burnt to cinders the primordial fear of existence.  Your beautiful forehead framed by curly locks is adorned with a mark of musk paste.
The beauty of your eyes excels that of lotus.  You are the conqueror of all the enemies.  Oh, a distinguished son of the lunar dynasty.  You repose on the serpent.  You are adored by Sankara, Brahma, Indra, and others.  You are lord Padmanabha the enchanter of every mind.

Oh Srasa Sarasundara (charming like the Cupid!) Please protect me!  Oh the embodiment of good virtues!
Oh, Lord  Padmanabha!  How can I spend this autumnal moonlit night without you?  Oh the one with glorious exploits!
One whose gait is equal to the king elephant; having matchless form; skillful in captivating the hearts of all the maidens;  worshiped by the sinless; with a sparkling and gentle smile; eyes like the red lotus.  What is troubling you, my Lord?
Oh, protector of the whole world!
Oh, Pavana the sacred!  Wipeout my apprehensions.
Even music does not capture me.  Oh, the unparalleled skillful one!  what happens to me?
Your divine lotus feet is like the heavenly tree to those who worship;  oh the one who vanquishes the demons who trouble the people; bestow the undiminishing happiness; oh the one having the face like the lotus and form like the hue of the clouds!
You are the refuge to the sages;  held aloft the mountain; come close to me and unite with me immediately.  Prevent me from shedding tears; one who reclines on the serpents and should always be meditated upon; the bestower of prosperity;  your smile and attire are very attractive; relax comfortably.  Your form shines with sandals.  You are the eternal cause of joy to the blue sky.

Meaning

Oh, the one who has a lotus-like face!  Please protect me.  One who is worshiped by sages like Sanaka and others.
I am submerged in the shoreless dreadful ocean of Samsara.  Compassionately protect me.
One who danced on the hood of the serpent Kaliya with a bent hand and a charming face.  Oh, Lord!  You are like the full moon in the ocean of Gokula;  adorned with musk- Kasturi in the broad forehead; the form resembling the dark blue sky;  the star of the Yadu clan.
Oh, the progenitor of Cupid! Adorned with a gem-studded garland; oh Saure!  one who talks sweetly;  attracts the learned people; bestower of boons to those who worship him.  He is to the hordes of sins what axe is to the mountain.  Oh, the delightful one!
One who has the glory of dispelling the fear of the entire world.  Oh, the unparalleled one!  Always dwell in my heart. Oh, the compassionate one!  The one who delights in exhibiting the valor against the demons.  Oh, Padmanabha!  who reclines on the king serpent!

Meaning

Oh, Sarasanabha!  Please listen to my words with compassion.
Oh, the Moon faced!  Your beloved is feeling very low.
With the delicate finger, she wipes off her tears.  She is in deep sorrow and crying due to her craving for you. Oh, Pancasayakakara having a form like that of Cupid!  Who will not feel pity in their heart after witnessing this?
You happily said, "Oh Manini! Present this pearl necklace to my beloved to be adorned on her bosom in order to subdue her desire caused by the Cupid and tranquil her".  These words have caused her deep sorrow and doubt.
Oh, the one with the effulgent form of dark clouds!  This is indeed, not proper.  Oh, the lotus-eyed!  Please protect her.  The flower-like poisonous arrows of Cupid have made her dizzy.  Delight her by giving your nectar-like lips.
