Meaning

Oh, Sauri!  please protect me.  You are the embodiment of compassion and remover of afflictions.
One who is adorned with golden attire; whose visage is like the moon;  Sri Padmanabha! the lotus-eyed!
One whose feet subdues the pride of lotus and shines lustrously by the effulgence of the golden crowns adorned by the host of celestials. one who delights in pure devotion;  grants the desired boons to all the devotees and whose glance is very beautiful.
Your charming smile is like the bloomed jasmine; bestower of boundless pleasure to the assembly of celestials; one who is like the celestial tree in granting boons to the host of devotees and the one who equals Cupid in charm.
Please bestow me prosperity.  The one whose teeth are attractive as jasmine buds;  the precious ship in the incomparable ocean of Samsara.

Meaning

Oh, Lord! Except you which other god will glance their compassion on me?
I am always tossed by the three great miseries Tapatraya of mankind.  Oh, Pancanadisvara!
How will I cross and reach the other side of the ocean of life, when I am ignorant about the scriptures.  If I repeatedly think of accumulating property, children, wife, wealth, and other belongings in this life, I feel meaningless and feel like initiating into Sanyasa.  To subdue the desires of debate about life and also to know the secrets of great truth, generosity, and discrimination, I take refuge unto your lotus feet.
One who is always worshiped and is known through the scriptures; when I am always praising you and worshiping you, who except you will reduce my burden and give me refuge?  Come to my close proximity, accept me, and wipe off my miseries.   Avoiding all the meaningless arguments, I am always meditating upon you in my heart as the cause for everything and source of my fortune; the one worshiped by Sanaka and others;  the supreme being! the ultimatum!  You are the only one whom I have always been waiting for.
The one praised by Brahma; glorified by people of great virtues; depended by the devotees; obliged to the universe; one who has the power of bestowing the capacity to lead life.  Relieve me from my body, mind, and intellect.  Your blissful supreme form is very vivid to me.  You are the one who removes all my dangers, worthy of being praised by music, oh Lord!  Gaurinayaka! Indusekhara!  I am always waiting for you to quickly grant me all these.

What can I do today, Oh my dear Kirvani having parrot-like speech?
My beloved Sri Padmanabha has not turned up!
All the fragrant soft flowers prick me like thorns, increasing my unbearable agony of passion.  Oh, Vidhuvadane!  the moon-faced! Oh, Subharadane!  having beautiful teeth! Oh, Gunsadane! an embodiment of virtues! Oh, Mrganayane! doe-eyed.
Oh, Nirajakshi! I remain sleepless.  There is no concern for Sumasara - the Cupid! Himakara! Mamavara! my lord! Does it matter to him?
Please tell him immediately my agony,  of spending the time always thinking about my beloved.  Oh, Sundari! Don't be lethargic.  Oh, virtuous! Don't betray me.

Meaning

Oh, My friend Kiravani! How long have I been suffering the affliction of Cupid?
Due to the absence of Sri Padmanabha, who reposes on the serpent.
Cupid is raining the arrows on me.  Even the pleasant rays of the moon are red hot for me. Oh, a friend with beautiful eyes!  I am wallowing in the midst of an ocean of my longing.  The night is at an end.  When will my lover come and embrace, and fulfill my desire?  When will this affliction given by Cupid be cured?
A day stretches like an eon.  Even the cool breeze has become an enemy.  I contemplate the dark and cloud-like form of my lover and become restless oh Madhumozhi!  His interest in me is decreasing.  He has an interest in someone else.  I am becoming thin.  Alas!  How my lover has changed like this?
Would you go and tell him my anguish?  Maybe he will show a little bit of compassion.  Will he leave his anger and embrace my bosom and enchant me? Even the day and night is not enough for our amorous sport and he is yet to come.  Will not Cupid help me?  Will my desire fulfill before the night ends?  Will you bring along my lotus-eyed lord with you to me?
